(7 kilometre, 3 hour return – rated easy)
A walk around the margins of Durras Lake.
Approximately 7 km in length, the Durras Lake walk is a wide mostly flat track which follows the northern shore of Durras Lake. Walk a small section, OR walk the lot!
The spotted gum and burrawang palms are obvious in this area and are the dominant vegetation of this part of the South Coast. The tranquility in this forest and the varied waterbirds of Durras Lake are features of this walk.
For a bit more of an adventure you can paddle a canoe around to the start of the walk from Lakesea Park and walk sections to stretch your legs and give your arms a rest in between paddling.
