Mountain Biking
Lakesea is also within a short drive of the fantastic Mogo Trails — 72 purpose-built tracks stretching over 125km through Mogo State Forest, suitable for riders of all levels.
Mountain biking from Lakesea Caravan Park is a great way to explore Murramarang National Park, with endless off-road tracks and unique coastal forest areas often inaccessible by car. Riders will find everything from flat, easy trails to more challenging mountainous terrain.
The main dirt roads from Lakesea out to North Head are mostly smooth and suited to all skill levels. A short road ride toward Murramarang Resort will put you at the start of the trail network. From there, it’s approximately a 40-minute direct ride to North Head—or take your time and stop off at one of the many unspoiled beaches along the way, all clearly signposted.
For the more adventurous, single tracks connecting the beaches will test your equipment and reward you with spectacular coastal views. You can also find a map of the area under the Coastline Walk.
So, on your next visit to Durras, pack the mountain bike for some great rides with family or mates, and discover our magic surroundings.
