Bush and Coastline Walks
Venture out for a bushwalk on the Nature Coast with one of many walks around the scenic Durras Lake, along one of the Nature Coast’s unspoilt beaches, or through the magical forests of Murramarang National Park.
Surrounding Lakesea Park and the pristine waters of Durras Lake, Murramarang National Park features picturesque beaches, rock platforms, and forests of Spotted Gum and Burrawang communities with temperate rainforest pockets within the gullies.
The tranquility within the National Park sets a pleasant scene. The noises of civilisation are replaced by those of the wildlife, ensuring a most peaceful, and serene destination. For the more adventurous, there are many bushwalks through tall open stands of Spotted Gum and pockets of rainforest where you can encounter the enormous diversity of native fauna and flora.
The park contains around 200 species of birds, 12 reptile species and 39 native terrestrial mammal species as well as over 400 flora species in various communities.
